In the short history of this blog, I’ve written a number of times about traffic and my general frustration with it.

But I had an interesting experience yesterday as we sat in slow traffic from Antioch to SF… I didn’t get frustrated. There were certainly moments where I questioned the decisions drivers were making, but I quickly let those feelings go as I consciously made an effort to not let it get to me.
It was surprisingly easy to do this, as all I had to say to myself was, “I can’t control that, just let it go.” That’s it and it totally worked. I am very encouraged by this and although it is somewhat of a minor victory (and obvious solution), it is definitely a step in the right direction toward a more balanced mind.
While I realize that complaining about traffic makes for better reading material than this mind over matter stuff, I hope that my experience allows even just one of you to try the same thing with similar success.
